This process is a serious matter reserved to those living in the territory of the Diocese of Buffalo. We believe the situation is serious enough to warrant an investigation by the Holy See. We acknowledge that only the Holy See has the authority to judge the Bishop and his actions. We ask that those outside the Diocese of Buffalo pray for us and our Bishop. We recognize how difficult this situation is for hundreds of thousands of Catholics in the Diocese of Buffalo. For the sake of justice, we ask those involved in this action to maintain charity and avoid a public pronouncement of moral judgment against the Bishop or members of his diocesan curia.
